What "connected" actually means

One person. Entered once.

Nobody buys church software for the feature list; they buy it because the same family gets typed into five places and still slips through. Here is one guest's first month — and the part that matters is what nobody had to do twice.

1

She registers for the fall kickoff

From your public website, on her phone, without making an account. That form is the last time anyone types her name.

2

She's already a person, not a signup

She lands in Flock as a guest, with her family beside her, and shows up on the follow-up list before anyone has to remember she came.

3

The next church update reaches her

She's in the audience because she's in Flock — not because someone copied her into a mailing list. If she gave consent to text, she's reachable there too, and her reply comes back to your shared inbox.

4

She joins a group, and gives

Attendance and her first gift attach to the same record. The gift posts into the ledger under the right fund, and her year-end statement will already know about it.

5

And you can see all of it

Insights reads that one record — the visit, the group, the giving — so the month she goes quiet, she's on your list on Monday morning instead of remembered in June.

Nobody re-typed her name, and nobody had to remember to check on her.

How Stewara comes together, step by step

The foundation

Know your people

Every name, every family, every quiet story — gathered in one place instead of scattered across spreadsheets and someone's memory. It's the free, permanent foundation the rest of your church rests on.

Builds on knowing them

Gather them well

Now bring them together — groups that grow, a service planned without the group text, events people show up to, and a check-in safe enough for the nursery. Everything here stands on the people you already know.

Builds on a gathered church

Steward every gift

A gathered, generous church gives — so record each gift honestly, track every fund to the penny, and send year-end statements you'd be proud to sign. Giving stays private by design, and your books stay in step with your people.

Closes the loop

Tell the story

Reach your people where they are, keep your public site and your church's branded space in the Stewara app current from your desk, and let the good news travel. And when the next family finds their way in, they start right back at the beginning — known, by name.

The loop closes — and begins again at Know your people.

See it work

Four things you can't do anywhere else.

Not a feature list — four real screens, doing the four jobs that make Stewara different from the church software you're comparing it to.

Pastoral awareness

Open it Monday and see who needs you.

Insights reads the people, giving and attendance you already keep, and surfaces the ones quietly drifting — the family that hasn't been in for a month, the guest nobody followed up with. The weekly digest brings that list to you, instead of waiting for someone to think to go looking.

Communication

Send it — and hear back in one place.

Build an on-brand email from a template, text the right group, and see exactly who's included and who's excluded before anything sends. Replies come back to a shared inbox your whole team can answer from, using the member data you already maintain — not a separate texting product with its own contact list.

Member app & public website

Write it once. It lands in both places.

Design your church's member home and your public website from the same content — pages, announcements, sermon notes, events and brand. There's no second system to keep in step, and nobody to call when the service time changes on a Wednesday.

Giving & the books

Sunday's offering, already in the ledger.

Record the offering once — by batch, by fund, from your phone at the count table. It posts itself into a real double-entry ledger, tagged back to the gift it came from, so your treasurer opens the books on Tuesday and Sunday is already sitting in the right fund.

Before you switch

The three questions nobody puts on a website.

We're a young company asking you to move your church's records. You should get straight answers before you do, not after.

"Can we actually get our data in — and back out?"

Bring people and giving history in with a guided CSV import that maps your export from Planning Center, Breeze or a spreadsheet, and previews likely duplicates before anything is created. It's a CSV path, not a direct integration — we'd rather say that than imply a one-click migration nobody has. On the way out, an admin can download everything Stewara holds for your church — every table as a CSV, with a manifest — from Settings, without asking us.

"Who can see giving, pastoral notes and our kids?"

Not everyone with a login. Access is shaped by role, per module and per action: pastoral notes are staff-only, members only ever see their own giving, and children's information sits behind check-in's own gates. Every church's data is isolated from every other church at the database level, and we don't sell or share it. We claim no certification we haven't earned.

"Who picks up when something breaks on a Sunday?"

A small team, reachable by email and by phone, run by the pastor who built this and uses it at his own church. We're not going to publish a response-time promise we can't keep at our size — what we will say is that there's no support tier to buy, and no ticket queue between you and the person who can fix it.

Why it exists

Built by a pastor, not a boardroom.

Stewara didn't come from a boardroom chasing a market. It came out of real church leadership — and the plain frustration of running a church across five apps and five bills, with the books kept somewhere else again. It's built by a pastor, for the people doing the same work every week.
