Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern use of Stewara, the church-management software operated by Abounding Media LLC ("Stewara," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, the church and its users ("you") agree to these Terms.

The Service

Stewara provides software for managing a church's people, giving, groups, events, services, and related records. Available features depend on the plan and modules your church has enabled. We may improve, change, or discontinue features over time.

Accounts and acceptable use

  • You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account.
  • Administrators are responsible for who they invite and the roles they grant.
  • You agree not to misuse the Service: no unlawful use, no attempts to breach tenant isolation or access another church's data, no reverse engineering, and no uploading of malicious code.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for having the right to enter member information.

Trials

New churches receive a 30-day trial of every module in the suite except Stewara Assistant. At the end of the trial, modules you have not purchased step back to the free tier (Flock), and any plan you have purchased continues and bills automatically. Extended trials, where offered, are granted at Stewara's discretion.

Subscriptions, billing, and renewals

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. You choose the billing period at checkout — monthly, or annually where an annual price is offered — and it renews on that same period.
  • Prices are those shown on our pricing page at the time you subscribe. We may change prices for future periods and will give notice of a change that affects you before it takes effect; a price you have locked in under a stated early-adopter program continues for as long as that subscription remains active.
  • Text messaging carries a monthly included allowance with optional add-on packs. When the allowance and any packs are used up, sending pauses until you add more or the period resets. We do not bill overage you did not purchase.
  • Your subscription renews automatically each period until canceled.
  • All fees are stated and charged in U.S. dollars and, unless stated otherwise, are exclusive of taxes.

Payment failures

If a renewal payment fails, we will notify the church administrator and provide a short grace period to update payment. If payment is not recovered, paid modules pause and the account reverts to the free tier (Flock). Your data is retained per our Privacy Policy.

Cancellation

You may cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; access to paid modules continues through the end of the current paid period, after which the account returns to the free tier. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.

Your data

As between you and Stewara, your church owns its data. We process it to provide the Service as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or request deletion of your data as described there.

Marketing emails

If you opt in, Abounding Media LLC may email Stewara product news and offers to your account's administrator contacts. You can unsubscribe anytime via the one-click link in any such email or in your church setup. We never market to your congregation members. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Stewara is a record-keeping tool and is not a substitute for professional legal, tax, or accounting advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stewara's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service and its users. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will post the new date above and, for material changes, notify church administrators. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
